The Friends of Shipley Nature Center is a non profit, 501 (c) 3 organization, incorporated in 2002. The Board consists of 8 members, elected by the paid membership of the organization. This is a working Board with each member contributing hours and finances to the organization.

The Board of Friends of Shipley Nature Center meets monthly, the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 pm at the Huntington Beach Library. Please call (714) 842-4772 if you would like to attend.
The Board is seeking candidates to serve as board members. Are you interested in preserving, operating, and managing our community’s nature center?
Of particular need are persons with business background in accounting, grant writing experience or willingness to learn. Experience working in groups with environmental knowledge. This is a good opportunity for a retired Huntington Beach resident with a concern for Shipley Nature Center.
Nominees could serve in either the one-year term or the two-year term board position.
