The Board of Friends of Shipley Nature Center meets monthly, the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 pm via Zoom (normally in the Huntington Beach Library).  Please contact the office for specific information if you are interested in attending this open meeting.

The Board is seeking candidates to serve as board members.  Are you interested in preserving, operating, and managing our community’s nature center?

Of particular need are persons with business background in accounting, grant writing experience or willingness to learn.  Experience working in groups with environmental knowledge.  This is a good opportunity for a retired Huntington Beach resident with a concern for Shipley Nature Center.

Nominees could serve in either the one-year term or the two-year term board position.

If you wish to volunteer your skills for the benefit of the community and environment, please review the responsibilities and duties of Friends of Shipley Nature Center Member of the Board of Directors.  You may submit your name, email address and phone number to news@shipleynature.org.
